Rachel Rushing is interested in the collision of the natural world and human agency. By building material photographs and immersive installations, she draws attention to traditional constructions of engagement and image-making to re-evaluate their effectiveness, necessity, and truth.
Rushing recently completed her MFA at the University of North Texas. Her work was included in the Neiman Marcus Window Project at the Neiman Marcus flagship storefront in downtown Dallas. You can listen to the KERA radio story here.
